Dear Uncle Adam

PLEEEEEEEASE can I come and stay.

Please Please PLEASE let me come and stay with you while my family is away on vacation. I promise to be on my best behavior. I won't eat any oreos out of your pantry. Because of that there won't be any wrappers ripped into shreds for you to clean up. I promise not to dig any holes or lay on your furniture. I will try to lick my feet quietly so it won't wake you up at 5:00 in the morning. I will do my best not to follow you around and breath on you. If you let me stay with you it means that when my family returns I will not be a freak. I will not run around the house like crazy. I will not have to fill my prescription of Xanax for the anxiety that it causes me to be left home alone. Uncle Adam we have had such good times in the past. I know I caused a few problems last time but you took care of that. Remember I am a better dog because of you. I promise to be nice to Toby and we won't even run away this time. I am really looking forward to the bath you give me. I really can't wait to come and stay. I am even going to bring my own bed this time. See ya on Thursday.

The thing we love most about summer is BOATING!!! We spend as much time as we possibly can on the boat. We all LOVE IT!!! Lexi loves riding the tube and is getting better and better at water skiing. MaKaya is a pro at jumping off the boat time and time again. Savanna loves to kick her feet in the water. Thanks Dad for loving us enough to take us boating.

Owls Game

Summer screams BASEBALL for me and my family. (Shaun hasn't been converted yet) We love to go to the Owls game. Savanna was so excited to see the owl but as soon as he got too close she was petrified. I asked her why she didn't like the owl and she said because he pinched her. The other girls wanted to go see him but Boo stayed with Tay. While we were talking with the owl I asked him to wave at her. She was yelling Hi Owl, funny Owl and waving to him. Later we went to get dippin dots and we had to pass the owl. She clung to my shirt for dear life. We were able to get close enough for him to pat her on the back. She had to tell everyone about it.

I asked MaKaya what she wanted to do for her day with Mom and she said shopping and Lunch. So that's just what we did. She never gets to ride in the stroller because Boo always does so she was super excited to get to ride. She wanted pretzel bites for lunch and some Sees chocolate for a treat. As soon as we got in the car she changed into her new clothes, that's my kind of girl. We had a fun afternoon with just us. As the afternoon was ending she told me that is was so fun to be just her and I, because Savanna is such a pain. I couldn't have agreed more.

The Twins are one!!!

It is so hard to imagine that a year can go by so quickly. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday we started the whole process and other times it feels like it never happened. I am still very happy that I was able to do this for Angie and her family. She put it perfectly when she said they bring so much happiness to a lot of people. We love you Kaden and Hunter

On Friday myself and 3 friends took off for St. George and Vegas and let me just tell you it was the best vacation I think I have ever had.

Memories we won't forget
Drawing even more attention to ourselves as we ran down the strip so we wouldn't be late for our show
Going to 6 gas stations looking for insulated mugs to keep our Pepsi cold
Talking non-stop on the way down that the drive seemed like minutes instead of hours
Learning how to "lick and smack"

But I have to say my favorite memory of the trip was pulling into Jen's driveway and seeing all five of her kids and her husband anxiously waiting on the front lawn for her to return. I felt a bit stupid as I felt my eyes fill up with tears knowing that my weekend was over and I would not be with my best friends anymore and the reality of mom life was returning. I felt much better as I hugged Jen and saw that she too had tears. When I got back in the car Kate and Monica were misty eyed too. Its not very often that four moms get the chance to take a long weekend with their best friends and do nothing but laugh, cry, be stupid, have fun, be carefree, and have a really great time. Thank you ladies I love you all!!!

Lexi and I took a day and went to Lagoon. It was a lot of fun spending the day with just her. She is brave and dares to go on ALL the rides. She put her two boy cousins to shame. While waiting for the Cliffhanger ride Adam and I picked the two driest seats. The water show obviously changes because we were the two WETTEST after the ride. I know that I am getting old when after every ride I wanted to vomit and going around the loops on the Colossus I got light headed. That makes me sad but did not stop me. We had a really fun day.
